Here's what you'll need to do to port-in to Maxis
All Supplementary lines (if any) need to be switched together with the principal account.
- Keep your current line active.
- Clear any outstanding bills or contract obligations to your current provider.
- Ensure the mobile number you want to port in is registered under your ID (NRIC, Passport or Army ID). You can verify that you are the current account holder for the phone number through the SMS steps in the images below.
- If you are a supplementary line holder, please get your principal line holder to perform the switch.

For Digi
- Upon request submission to switch or port in to Maxis, your current provider will send a confirmation SMS of request validation.
For Digi customers, please note that your existing provider will validate all the business rules. - Reply to SMS as per keyword and within timeline stated.
- If you are a contract customer, port in will be rejected under SP51 (Nonfulfillment of Contract Obligation) and you will not be able to proceed further.
If you are a customer without contract, proceed to step 4. - You will receive 2 SMS from Digi to pay your latest bill. Bill payment must be made within 2 hours for current charges/ usages before successful port out.
- If you fail to make payment within 2 hours, port in will be unsuccessful and resubmission must be done again.
During port-in
- After submitting your request to Maxis, your current provider will send you a confirmation SMS.
- Make sure you and your supplementary lines (if any) follow the onscreen instructions before the stated deadlines. SMS replies are case sensitive.
- Keep the provided Maxis SIM carefully.
- Once your current provider’s SIM is no longer working, switch to the Maxis SIM provided.
